Last weekend we went to Astoria for a day trip. It was not an ideal day for a trip to the coast, but sometimes when you do not have grand expectations, you are open to serendipity and making those circumstances work for you. It was cloudy and raining at times, but there is something really beautiful about gray stormy clouds. Here is the Astoria- Megler Bridge from different angles in Oregon cloud cover at its finest. The last photo of a strange looking old object sticking out of the water is a remnant boiler from a cannery that burned down in 1973.
